 Diego Gaeta Excerpt from, 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘖𝘯𝘦: 𝘊𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘵-𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴, 2026 Solo piano with digital video, 16 min., 33 sec.  Commissioned by @acommonpractice, 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘖𝘯𝘦: 𝘊𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘵-𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 draws influence from stories of Thelonious Monk practicing piano next to basketball courts in Harlem and the relationship between jazz and basketball. The work serves as a musical response to classic streetball footage.

[ Home Team ] Dance Works makes its NYC debut with the premiere of a site-specific work, choreographed by Key"Aira Lockett and commissioned by Common Practice, created to help unveil artist Nari Ward's basketball court intervention, "Breathing Court" (2023), at St. Nicholas Park in Harlem, New York.
